Springville is located on the south side of Provo. It is nicknamed the “Art City” or “Hobble Creek” because different individuals found there was no art influence in the City and decided it needed to change. It is also a bedroom community. Meaning it is a suburb that is inhabited largely by people who commute to a nearby city to work.
As the city continues to be a popular place for families, it continues to grow in numbers. In 2016, the population was 33,044. The median income is $60,659 with an average age of 25.
The City is known for many of its festivities that are hosted during the summer. One of these is the Springville World Folkfest. This is a week long festival of folk dance and music which is held outside. Not only does the city have great events but it has wonderful recreational and leisure activities found within close proximity.
