Spanish Fork was settle in 1851 by Mormon Pioneers. The name comes from two Spaniards who visited the area in hope of finding a new route from New Mexico to California. They loved the area because of the river that flowed through it and found that it was a wonderful sheltered place for animals and people to reside.

Since then, Spanish Fork has grown to a population of 38,861. Most of which is younger than the national average.  It was home to the first permanent Icelandic settlement in the U.S. and has to over 2,759 businesses.

The city is very family oriented with over 17 city parks, 10 tennis courts , 2 water parks/splash pads, 14 soccer fields and 8 playgrounds.  It is a wonderful place to settle down and start a family.
