Salem Utah, known as “Summer Spring” by the Indians and “Pond Town” by early settlers has been home to many people since 1851. The springs found in the City were everything that the early settlers needed, fresh water for their crops and for them to drink. They knew that if they could dam the springs they would be able to use the water all winter long. At first, the dams didn’t work, but after a few years of trying they were successfully able to build a dam. Later, the city was named Salem after a man named Lyman Curtis. In the next few years, more dams were build and an irrigation system was developed. Homes were built and the land was officially settled.
Through out the history of Salem, the citizens have been friendly, hardworking and easy to work with as they adapt to change. Salem has been a beautiful home to many individuals. It has everything that you and your family needs to build the life that they are wanting. For more information click here.
