Provo, Utah

Provo, Utah also known as ‘BYU Cougar Town’ is the third largest city in Utah. It has been ranked as one of the most desirable places to live, work and play. The City is located to the east of Utah Lake and 43 miles south of Salt Lake City. It was originally named a city by Mormon Pioneers in 1850 and has been growing in size since then. As of 2016 Provo had a population of 116,868.

Much of the population comes from Brigham Young University (BYU) a private higher education institution. This allows for a large amount of people who are wanting to work and learn and preparing for their futures. Provo is also home to the Peaks Ice Area, which was a venue for the Slat Lake Winter Olympics in 2003.
