Cedar Hills Utah is built upon the bench, created thousands of years ago, from Lake Bonneville. Early settlers referred to it as the “bench” because of all of the cedar trees that were found across it. That is also how it got its name.
At first the area wasn’t very appealing to settlers because of the dryness. Streams and ponds were located over by American Fork but, no streams were located in the town of Cedar Hills. However, many different kinds of wildlife flourished in the area becoming a great place for hunting. After years had passed, it became a place for turkey raising. Still today you an find farm land right up close to the mountains.
In Conclusion, today the population of Cedar Hills is around 10,374. It has been a wonderful place for families to grow up with almost 50% of the population under 18 years of age. There are many activities found nearby as well as neighboring cities. It is the perfect place to build your dream home.
